The Aspect of Immortality

The Aspect of Immortality

The strange powers that arise from interest can lead us to immortality.  Time is only a conditioning by which we see things endure; every thought, action, or idea, because it is perceived of through searching, has no other choice but to end.  In reality there is only one moment, never ending.  Most of the time we see it coming or watch it go, but that is only the mind believing in time; in truth, the moment since our birth has never been anything other than what it is now.  Everything else that is a part of that reality is what changes; so even before our birth, and even after our death, there will still be just this one moment.  Thus when our interest arises, we see an aspect of the present, but since our attention is focused on only one perspective, we see it through a mind of mortality.  When we finally take this interest to the wide and formless ocean of the unborn, it finds the remnant of immortality.  Every interest that we have, or ever will have, is a calling for us to leave our egos with their mortal bodies, and to step into the real wake of reality.
